Milan Fighters's Bar Dempsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Farrell Branson in the 34th minute of play. When Kevinn McDonald fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ryefield's protests and gave Kevinn McDonald a yellow card for diving instead. Kevinn McDonald hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Milan Fighters's zone, Farrell Branson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bar Dempsey came out of the goal and Farrell Branson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the match, Ryefield's goal looked a bit too open when Gearroid McJon came free, but Boyne McWill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When Brion Quinnless was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. Bannan Dillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bar Dempsey having to interfere. Milan Fighters's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
