Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Beairtle Gollogley got the match started through his kick off. Sean McLaughlin might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Comhghall Mullan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sean McLaughlin ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Knockanare's zone, Buach Doherty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Comhghall Mullan came out of the goal and Buach Doherty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Breadan Crowe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Comhghall Mullan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Breadan Crowe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Comhghall Mullan made a huge save. Donncha McBrand's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Comhghall Mullan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Breadan Crowe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beartlai Caffey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Becc McAaron in the 17th minute of play. Knockanare's Comhghall Mullan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donncha McBrand in the 22nd minute of play. If Breadan Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Brenan Benson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Beartlai Caffey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beairtle Gollogley took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beartlai Caffey. Beartlai Caffey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Beartlai Caffey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brenan Benson in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Buach Doherty in the 39th minute of play forced Knockanare's goalkeeper Comhghall Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st match minute, Killosseny AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ros McBrandon to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Knockanare getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Pierson McNamara hit a great ball. Sean McLaughlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comhghall Mullan having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Davie Dimson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Knockanare and the Killosseny AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Knockanare's Davie Dimson got a free kick in the 45th minute. Comhghall Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donncha McBrand in the 48th minute of the match. The Killosseny AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Knockanare were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Breadan Crowe to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Becc McAaron got a very nice opportunity to score, but Beartlai Caffey was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 53rd minute Buach Doherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comhghall Mullan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Beartlai Caffey managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Knockanare's Becc McAaron fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 65 minutes into the match, Killosseny AFC's goalkeeper Beartlai Caffey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Becc McAaron. Knockanare's Davie Dimson got his second yellow card of the match in the 65th minute. The referee ordered Davie Dimson off the ground. In the 66th match minute, Knockanare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davie Dimson to maneuver through the defense. Knockanare's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donncha McBrand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Brenan Benson's late challenge caught a Killosseny AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brenan Benson helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Knockanare got a freekick which was hit by Brenan Benson. In the 80th minute, Breadan Crowe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Killosseny AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Killosseny AFC's Beartlai Caffey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Killosseny AFC from getting a goal against them. After 86 minutes of play, Killosseny AFC's Brendan Murphy made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Comhghall Mullan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Breadan Crowe took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Comhghall Mullan. Comhghall Mullan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Knockanare's Comhghall Mullan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berrigan Gillmour in the 96th minute of play. Killosseny AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
