Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bartel Prunty started the match with the kick off. Killosseny AFC's Beartlai Caffey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartel Prunty in the 3rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Braoin Beckett put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Beartlai Caffey. Braoin Beckett struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Beartlai Caffey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lynnbury. Beartlai Caffey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braoin Beckett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Killosseny AFC's Beartlai Caffey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artuir McFrank in the 11th minute of play. Beartlai Caffey came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Lynnbury's Braoin Beckett. But to his dismay, Braoin Beckett quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when Turlough Kelly put in a rough tackle. After 22 played minutes Killosseny AFC got a freekick which was hit by Turlough Kelly. Killosseny AFC's Beartlai Caffey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artuir McFrank in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Killosseny AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breadan Crowe to maneuver through the defense. Sheridan Todd hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Donncha McBrand kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Bartel Prunty ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beartlai Caffey was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 37 minutes into the match, Lynnbury's goalkeeper Teris Rogers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Breadan Crowe. Buach Doherty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teris Rogers having to interfere. The supporters of Lynnbury booed when Killosseny AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donncha McBrand didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Killosseny AFC's Beartlai Caffey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Killosseny AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 56th minute, Lynnbury's Braoin Beckett dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 61st minute, Bartel Prunty ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beartlai Caffey was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 68 minutes into the match, Bartel Prunty notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Killosseny AFC's Beartlai Caffey. Beartlai Caffey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Killosseny AFC's Beartlai Caffey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Killosseny AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute Buach Doherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teris Rogers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Braoin Beckett made a precise shot to the right of Beartlai Caffey. Killosseny AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. In the 82ndth minute of the game Buach Doherty who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lynnbury's Teris Rogers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st minute, Buach Doherty left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Killosseny AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Beartlai Caffey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braoin Beckett in the 95th minute of the match. When the match was over Lynnbury could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Killosseny AFC throughout the match.
