Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ballyboughal's Brennen Moran started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fiachra McNamee in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beartlai Caffey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 7th minute, Brennen Moran made a precise shot to the right of Beartlai Caffey. Killosseny AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Donncha McBrand kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Barclay Ferguson. That made the score 1-1 in the 13 minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Donncha McBrand dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Barclay Ferguson, 2-1. Ballyboughal's Barclay Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Buach Doherty in the 20th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Breadan Crowe got free with Barclay Ferguson in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 25 minutes, Brendan Murphy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Killosseny AFC and the Ballyboughal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brendan Murphy kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ballyboughal's Dennis McBrand got a free kick in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Killosseny AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bevin Molloy came free, but Beartlai Caffey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ballyboughal's Barclay Ferguson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Ballyboughal from getting a goal against them. After 31 played minutes Killosseny AFC got a freekick which was hit by Barran Duggan. Donncha McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Barclay Ferguson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fiachra McNamee in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beartlai Caffey saved Killosseny AFC from getting behind. 43 minutes into the game, Barran Duggan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Killosseny AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballyboughal the free kick. The referee gave Ballyboughal a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Royan Caffey, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Killosseny AFC's Beartlai Caffey. 2-2. Donncha McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Barclay Ferguson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Breadan Crowe to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Buach Doherty left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Killosseny AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The supporters of Killosseny AFC booed when Ballyboughal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bourns Molloy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Breadan Crowe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Killosseny AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breadan Crowe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Buach Doherty took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barclay Ferguson. Barclay Ferguson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Eoin Ferguson hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donncha McBrand in the 75th minute of play forced Ballyboughal's goalkeeper Barclay Ferguson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Barran Duggan in the 77th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ballyboughal's Bevin Molloy. Bevin Molloy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ros McBrandon charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ros McBrandon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Killosseny AFC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ros McBrandon hit a great ball. If Brennen Moran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barclay Ferguson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendan Murphy in the 83rd minute of the match. Ballyboughal's Barclay Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Buach Doherty in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to Killosseny AFC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ros McBrandon hit a great ball. After 94 minutes of play Killosseny AFC's Ros McBrandon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 94th minute, Ros McBrandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute of the match Royan Caffey sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beartlai Caffey skillfully saved the ball. Killosseny AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
