The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boyd Benson was the one to do the kick off. Lou McJohnny made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Bannon Glen Crowe sent off a good shot on target. Bannon Glen Crowe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Lou McJohnny made a huge save. After some careless play in the Caherlea FC defense, Bannon Glen Crowe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lou McJohnny. The Caherlea FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lou McJohnny should have stopped the shot. Toran Branson hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Bannon Glen Crowe took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Lou McJohnny to make any attempt to save it. St. James Gate F.C.'s Gealan Cooney was substituted for Burke Martyn. In the 72nd minute, Hewney Kirby made a precise shot to the right of Lou McJohnny. Caherlea FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-12. Brigid Rutherford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toran Branson in the 76th minute of play. With an all-out effort, St. James Gate F.C.'s Lou McJohnny threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Barhart Costello, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 79th minute, Hewney Kirby made a precise shot to the right of Lou McJohnny. Caherlea FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-13. 82 minutes into the match, Bannon Glen Crowe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lou McJohnny. Caherlea FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Biddy Delaney 96 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-17. St. James Gate F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
