The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute of the match Jonathan Prunty shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bardan McMichel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Game Over's Cacey John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry McBrand in the 8th minute of play. Bardan McMichel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reamann Perth, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When Henry McBrand came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Catstown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henry McBrand couldn't finish the play. Cacey John didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fionntán McPhilip went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cacey John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fionntán McPhilip in the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of Game Over booed when Catstown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Briain Morrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Catstown's Bren Duggan got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Briain Morrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Fionntán McPhilip ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cacey John was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cacey John didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fionntán McPhilip went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Blayne Todd scored 1-3 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bardan McMichel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

In the 52nd minute, Game Over's Lewy Gillmour seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lewy Gillmour the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Game Over protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lewy Gillmour had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 57 minutes into the match, Catstown's goal looked a bit too open when Blayne Todd came free, but Bardan McMichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Game Over's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Henry McBrand fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Jarlath McOliver came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Catstown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarlath McOliver couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Catstown's Jarlath McOliver got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Cacey John made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Fionntán McPhilip sent off a good shot on target. 79 minutes into the match, Game Over's goalkeeper Cacey John had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henry McBrand. Bardan McMichel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blanaid Doherty, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Briain Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacey John having to interfere. Game Over's Cacey John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Briain Morrison in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Catstown walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
