Ballytrasna
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Donell Prunty took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Mikk Nurk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galway Cowboys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikk Nurk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brenna Sheridan came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Galway Cowboys's Gerardo Polentzi. But to his dismay, Gerardo Polentzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Ballytrasna defense, Bannan McPhil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brenna Sheridan. The Ballytrasna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brenna Sheridan should have stopped the shot. Brenna Sheridan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikk Nurk in the 11th minute of the match. Bannan McPhil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Brenna Sheridan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Peadar McAlphie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballytrasna and the Galway Cowboys players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Peadar McAlphie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Polentzi in the 20th minute of play forced Ballytrasna's goalkeeper Brenna Sheridan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 played minutes Galway Cowboys got a freekick which was hit by Bannan McPhil. Gerardo Polentzi took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brenna Sheridan. Brenna Sheridan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Adamnan Horgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shey McPhilip in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Polentzi in the 38th minute of play forced Ballytrasna's goalkeeper Brenna Sheridan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bannan McPhil struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Brenna Sheridan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galway Cowboys. In the 47th minute, Gerardo Polentzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brenna Sheridan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The Ballytrasna players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Galway Cowboys were winning 0-4.

With an all-out effort, Galway Cowboys's Brenna Sheridan threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gerardo Polentzi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Galway Cowboys booed when Ballytrasna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peadar McAlphie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blair Martyn kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Gerardo Polentzi scored 0-5 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brenna Sheridan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 71 played minutes Ballytrasna got a freekick which was hit by Shey McPhilip. Sacha Boey in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Brenna Sheridan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Gerardo Polentzi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Brenna Sheridan. That made the score 0-6 in the 79 minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Bannan McPhil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Brenna Sheridan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute Mikk Nurk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brenna Sheridan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Galway Cowboys's Gerardo Polentzi got a free kick in the 88th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Gerardo Polentzi notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Ballytrasna's Brenna Sheridan. Brenna Sheridan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ultan Cooney kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Galway Cowboys's Mikk Nurk tried to score from far away in the 98th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Galway Cowboys's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
