Bannan McPhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacey John having to interfere. Game Over's Cacey John proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Game Over from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Brefni Dimson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galway Cowboys's supporters rose to their feet, but Brefni Dimson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cacey John breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cacey John made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Bannan McPhil sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Galway Cowboys booed when Game Over was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Prunty didn't get a good kick on the ball.
