Aaden Lavine's late challenge caught a Galway Cowboys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaden Lavine helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, one of Cogran AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cogran AFC. The supporters of Cogran AFC booed when Galway Cowboys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kennedy McBjarton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adamnan Horgan came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Cogran AFC's Beamard Martyn. But to his dismay, Beamard Martyn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a little luck, Cogran AFC's Blathmac Bayes got control of the ball when Bannan McPhil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Blathmac Bayes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brefni Dimson in the 26th minute of the match. Blathmac Bayes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brefni Dimson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Galway Cowboys's goal looked a bit too open when Beamard Martyn came free, but Adamnan Horgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Cogran AFC's goalkeeper Blathmac Bayes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brefni Dimson. 42 minutes into the match, Mikk Nurk notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Cogran AFC's Blathmac Bayes. Blathmac Bayes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Blathmac Bayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brefni Dimson, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bannan McPhil to strike the kick off in the second half. Beamard Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Conor Crowe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adamnan Horgan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. After 61 played minutes Galway Cowboys got a freekick which was hit by Mikk Nurk. When Bannan McPhil came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Galway Cowboys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bannan McPhil couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the match, Galway Cowboys's goal looked a bit too open when Conor Crowe came free, but Adamnan Horgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Cogran AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bannan McPhil came free, but Blathmac Bayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bannan McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bannan McPhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blathmac Bayes having to interfere. Bannan McPhil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Blathmac Bayes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Conor Crowe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adamnan Horgan was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 89th minute, Bannan McPhil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
