The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lamestars's Severino Paião proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Lamestars from getting a goal against them. In the 5th minute of the match FC Piemonte got a corner. Lamestars's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bozydar Kowalski ran over to the corner to take the kick. Robin Hoeybroeck tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Severino Paião. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 5th minute. Severino Paião made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Brannan McLaughlin sent off a good shot on target. Harold McGlenn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davie Barrett, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After 14 played minutes Lamestars got a freekick which was hit by Robin Hoeybroeck. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Becan Molloy got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 25th match minute, Lamestars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Hoeybroeck to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Lamestars's goal looked a bit too open when Brannan McLaughlin came free, but Severino Paião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brannan McLaughlin made a kick off. Brannan McLaughlin might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severino Paião. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brannan McLaughlin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd minute Brannan McLaughlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Paião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, FC Piemonte's Harold McGlenn got control of the ball when Paul Deery tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81stth minute Davie Barrett beautifully dribbled past FC Piemonte's defense and it looked for a moment as a certain goal, but Harold McGlenn pulled off a phantom save to prevent the ball from scoring on his left hand side. Severino Paião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brannan McLaughlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. FC Piemonte's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Séamus Morrison scored to the left of an out of position Harold McGlenn, making the score, 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in Lamestars's zone, Brannan McLaughlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Paião came out of the goal and Brannan McLaughlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aaron Jameson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Harold McGlenn made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Deery got free with Harold McGlenn in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
