Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ash Hudson made the kick off which started today's match. Dale Jones took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ash Hudson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Kris Duxbury's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Phillip Plummer was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. When Don Metcalf fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ponteland FC's protests and gave Don Metcalf a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, Ponteland FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don Metcalf to maneuver through the defense. Phillip Plummer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kris Duxbury in the 30th minute of play. Ponteland FC's Phillip Plummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Duxbury in the 34th minute of play. Kris Duxbury scored 0-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phillip Plummer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Dorking's goalkeeper Dale Jones had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rory Southgate. 44 minutes into the game, one of Dorking:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kris Duxbury made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Ponteland FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Duxbury came free, but Phillip Plummer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ponteland FC fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Ponteland FC's Ash Hudson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Paddy Blackley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillip Plummer having to interfere. Phillip Plummer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kris Duxbury, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ash Hudson in the 71st minute of play forced Dorking's goalkeeper Dale Jones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rory Southgate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dale Jones having to interfere. In the 79thth minute of the game Ash Hudson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dorking's Dale Jones was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rory Southgate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Ponteland FC's Peter Carey-Bertram got a free kick in the 86th minute. Ash Hudson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Rory Southgate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dale Jones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rio Howard charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rio Howard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Dorking's Rio Howard got a free kick in the 95th minute. Rory Southgate scored 3-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dale Jones, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ponteland FC had won after a very even match.
