Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sacha Lodge started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Sacha Lodge notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of VALENE FC's Jude Whalley. Jude Whalley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 6 minutes, Chip Kelly managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VALENE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chip Kelly was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Curtis Campbell in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anthony Cornforth saved Cookham from getting behind. Anthony Cornforth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curtis Campbell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VALENE FC's Chip Kelly got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Cookham's Anthony Cornforth got control of the ball when Chip Kelly tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chip Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Anthony Cornforth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anthony Cornforth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Curtis Campbell, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the Cookham defense, Carl Nethercoat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anthony Cornforth. The Cookham fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anthony Cornforth should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ray Gilchrist in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jude Whalley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Curtis Campbell made a kick off. Anthony Cornforth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chip Kelly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VALENE FC's Jude Whalley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sacha Lodge in the 60th minute of play. Jude Butt was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Cookham. Lenny Knightley stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jude Whalley. 2-2. Carl Nethercoat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anthony Cornforth having to make a save. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cookham's goalkeeper Anthony Cornforth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mickey Perryman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sacha Lodge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. VALENE FC's Brendon Marsden got a good chance for a goal in the 100th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle went the supporters of Cookham were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant VALENE FC side.
