Bradley Halliwell's late challenge caught a VALENE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bradley Halliwell helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lowton's Bradley Halliwell got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lowton's goalkeeper Noel Breeden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Lowton booed when VALENE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Nethercoat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Chip Kelly made a precise shot to the right of Noel Breeden. Lowton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Philip Mudd in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jude Whalley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Philip Mudd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jude Whalley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Mudd, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Curtis Campbell thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jude Whalley, a very annoying self made goal in the 55th minute which led to 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradley Halliwell in the 60th minute of play forced VALENE FC's goalkeeper Jude Whalley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in VALENE FC's zone, Lance Bell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jude Whalley came out of the goal and Lance Bell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jude Whalley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Mudd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mickey Perryman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Breeden having to interfere. Jude Whalley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Mudd in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradley Halliwell in the 83rd minute of play forced VALENE FC's goalkeeper Jude Whalley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philip Mudd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jude Whalley having to interfere. When Bradley Halliwell came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Lowton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradley Halliwell couldn't finish the play. Philip Mudd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jude Whalley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to VALENE FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Brynn Newbury hit a great ball.
