Antony Gordon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Cusack having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Your Football Club's Sidney Gerrard dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, St Ives FC's Shawn Mahon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Max Seaward narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Your Football Club's Antony Gordon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guy Cusack made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 27 minutes, Abraham Seaward mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Your Football Club and the St Ives FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 27 played minutes Your Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Seaward. Shawn Mahon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Max Seaward tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guy Cusack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Gerrard in the 34th minute of play. If Antony Gordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidney Gerrard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Guy Cusack made a huge save. Guy Cusack made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antony Gordon in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Shawn Mahon to make the kick off. Antony Gordon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Your Football Club booed when St Ives FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kieran Emberson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Your Football Club's Abraham Seaward got a free kick in the 64th minute. Shawn Mahon took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Max Seaward. Max Seaward dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Shawn Mahon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Your Football Club's Antony Gordon got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 78 played minutes St Ives FC got a freekick which was hit by Glen Hardcastle. Guy Cusack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Gerrard in the 80th minute of play. Guy Cusack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antony Gordon in the 84th minute of the match. Sidney Gerrard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Guy Cusack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Antony Gordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Your Football Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
