A hard shot by Darius Townsend from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Rio Hughes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 16 played minutes Clevedon got a freekick which was hit by Pete Summerfield. The audience held their breath when Ken Washington in the 17th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Simon Bradbury's left hand side. In the 19th minute, Jude Oldham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Ruben Hughes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Scott Blakewell made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jude Oldham during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Lutterworth AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jude Oldham to maneuver through the defense. Simon Bradbury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Scott Blakewell in the 58th minute of play. Scott Blakewell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Bradbury having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Byron Pollard in the 66th minute of play forced Lutterworth AFC's goalkeeper Rio Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lutterworth AFC's zone, Byron Pollard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rio Hughes came out of the goal and Byron Pollard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ritchie Brindley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clevedon's Simon Bradbury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scott Blakewell in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Clevedon's goalkeeper Simon Bradbury had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albert Walton. When Lutterworth AFC's Scott Blakewell in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rio Hughes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Byron Pollard's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. If Albert Walton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lutterworth AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
