The audience thought a goal was coming when Pete Beverley got free with Ben Clarke in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When John Connor came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the TheElite11 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Connor couldn't finish the play. TheElite11's attentive Henry Renwick managed to snatch the ball when Orson Orchard made a throw-in in the 17th minute of the game. Pete Beverley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Clarke having to interfere. Honiton AFC's Ben Clarke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Honiton AFC from getting a goal against them. TheElite11's Pete Beverley was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 24th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Lewis Eastham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Halliday, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Lewis Eastham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Halliday in the 31st minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Garth Elvins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, John Connor managed to get in a good position for a shot. TheElite11's supporters rose to their feet, but John Connor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Clarke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Connor in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ben Clarke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the game, CJ Wilkins threw the ball into play from the sideline. TheElite11's Henry Renwick quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Marty Frampton managed to get in a good position for a shot. TheElite11's supporters rose to their feet, but Marty Frampton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Clarke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. TheElite11's Lewis Eastham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Halliday in the 42nd minute of play. Sebastian Halliday hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Halliday stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Alec Fletcher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pete Beverley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alec Fletcher was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 64th match minute, TheElite11 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alec Fletcher to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Honiton AFC defense, John Connor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ben Clarke. The Honiton AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ben Clarke should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Honiton AFC's goalkeeper Ben Clarke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. John Connor scored 3-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ben Clarke, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ben Clarke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marty Frampton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Honiton AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Freddy Johnson hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, John Connor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ben Clarke. Honiton AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that John Connor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. After 90 minutes, Jack Pope mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honiton AFC and the TheElite11 players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Honiton AFC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Jack Pope hit a great ball. Ben Clarke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Connor in the 93rd minute of play. If John Connor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. TheElite11's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
