Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Owen Hackney started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lingfield AFC's goalkeeper Peter Grigg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Peter Grigg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Lingfield AFC's Peter Grigg got control of the ball when Lewis Perkins tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joseph Waterhouse struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Peter Grigg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for March. Lewis Perkinss short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Peter Grigg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Peter Grigg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Waterhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Oscar Bowden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peter Grigg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Waterhouse in the 26th minute of the match. Lewis Perkins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When March's Joseph Waterhouse in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lingfield AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Calum Skipton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lingfield AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calum Skipton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Owen Hackney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joseph Waterhouse might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Grigg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joseph Waterhouse ran back to his position shaking his head. Alf Kalischer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Grigg having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joseph Waterhouse to make the kick off. Lingfield AFC's Trey Smikle got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. March's Lewis Perkins got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oscar Bowden kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Lingfield AFC's Peter Grigg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lewis Perkins in the 72nd minute of play. Simon Hitchen kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, March's goal looked a bit too open when Owen Hackney came free, but Tyrone Browne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in March's zone, Calum Skipton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tyrone Browne came out of the goal and Calum Skipton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clive Fordham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joseph Waterhouse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Lingfield AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
