The audience thought a goal was coming when Joshua Senior got free with Barney Halliday in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Wanborough's Barney Halliday got control of the ball when Joshua Senior tried to sneak it across the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Bicester's Joshua Senior nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barney Halliday made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Joshua Senior could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Barney Halliday made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joshua Senior got free with Barney Halliday in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 19 in the game by Joshua Senior from a close distance when the talented Barney Halliday managed to make a qualified save. Wanborough's players were relieved. Joshua Senior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barney Halliday showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reggie Sharples, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After having played for 24 minutes, Conal Hehir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wanborough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conal Hehir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 26 minutes of play, Wanborough's Tommy Senior made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Noel Moss was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Owen Newland fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wanborough's protests and gave Owen Newland a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, Wanborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Owen Newland to maneuver through the defense. After 30 played minutes Byron Barltrop scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Barney Halliday who was too lazy, 2-1. Joshua Senior could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Barney Halliday made a huge save. After 36 played minutes Bicester got a freekick which was hit by Jude Bloom. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conal Hehir in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Noel Moss prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute, Reggie Sharples fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Wanborough's zone, Joshua Senior stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barney Halliday came out of the goal and Joshua Senior tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Joshua Senior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Senior in the 52nd minute of play forced Wanborough's goalkeeper Barney Halliday to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Bicester's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Senior came free, but Noel Moss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Tommy Senior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Moss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joshua Senior came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Bicester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joshua Senior couldn't finish the play. Bicester's Noel Moss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Senior in the 68th minute of play. Garry Cummings hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute Joshua Senior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barney Halliday saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Reggie Sharples had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Wanborough defense, Reggie Sharples kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barney Halliday. The Wanborough fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barney Halliday should have stopped the shot. If Joshua Senior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Reggie Sharples cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Barney Halliday was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Barney Halliday showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Senior in the 94th minute of the match. The supporters of Bicester booed when Wanborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Beesley didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reggie Sharples in the 97th minute of play forced Wanborough's goalkeeper Barney Halliday to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Wanborough players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bicester.
