Joel Henry started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Ralph Potts reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Darius Greenman. The goal made the score 2-0. After 10 played minutes Finchley got a freekick which was hit by Nial Eslworth. Marlon Howson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Fawcett having to interfere. Darius Greenman didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when WestBrom FC's Owen Crocker shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Joel Henry hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A hard shot 19 in the game by Charles Whiteley from a close distance when the talented Darius Greenman managed to make a qualified save. Finchley's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Henry in the 21st minute of play forced WestBrom FC's goalkeeper Mark Fawcett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Finchley's Marlon Howson got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Charles Whiteley managed to get in a good position for a shot. WestBrom FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Whiteley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darius Greenman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Finchley's Darius Greenman got control of the ball when Charles Whiteley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wesley Griggs's late challenge caught a WestBrom FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wesley Griggs helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Finchley's Wesley Griggs got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Ralph Potts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of WestBrom FC booed when Finchley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loyd Hindmarsh didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Owen Crocker dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Darius Greenman, 4-0. Austin Ingram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Owen Crocker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Darius Greenman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brynn Clay hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Henry in the 46th minute of play forced WestBrom FC's goalkeeper Mark Fawcett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ralph Potts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralph Potts in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darius Greenman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 53rd minute Rio McGovern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darius Greenman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralph Potts in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. A collision led to Finchley getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Nial Eslworth hit a great ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Ralph Potts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WestBrom FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralph Potts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charles Whiteley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 minutes, Neil Peyton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Finchley and the WestBrom FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Finchley's Neil Peyton got a free kick in the 72nd minute. WestBrom FC's Mark Fawcett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save WestBrom FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Finchley's zone, Charles Whiteley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darius Greenman came out of the goal and Charles Whiteley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Whiteley in the 81st minute of play forced Finchley's goalkeeper Darius Greenman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ralph Potts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Charles Whiteley sped through Finchley's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Darius Greenman. Darius Greenman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Whiteley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marlon Howson came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mark Fawcett could save by the left post. Mark Fawcett made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Marlon Howson sent off a good shot on target. After 93 minutes, Marlon Howson made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. WestBrom FC's Mark Fawcett tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 96 minutes, Ralph Potts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WestBrom FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralph Potts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. WestBrom FC had played much better football throughout.
