The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conan Brayford was the one to do the kick off. Mike McNiven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Padiham's Conan Brayford got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Blair Marsden's late challenge caught a Padiham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blair Marsden helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Market Harborough's Blair Marsden got a free kick in the 74th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Market Harborough's zone, Conan Brayford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wesley Bray came out of the goal and Conan Brayford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Karl Dexter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavin Reddington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Garner-Currie in the 89th minute of play. Market Harborough were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Padiham to leave the ground with a draw.
