Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) After 4 played minutes Silver Arrows FC got a freekick which was hit by Mick Bowland. After recieving a nice pass, Sowerby Bridge's Vince Gray tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Frank Hellen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Den Britton having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Basil Bower managed to get in a good position for a shot. Silver Arrows FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Basil Bower was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Millman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frank Hellen might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Den Britton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Hellen ran back to his position shaking his head. Danny Cambridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tommy Millman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Chris Deacon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 played minutes Silver Arrows FC got a freekick which was hit by Mick Bowland. Chris Deacon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chris Deacon struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Den Britton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sowerby Bridge. Den Britton made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Frank Hellen sent off a good shot on target.

If Danny Cambridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Millman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Seagrave in the 55th minute of play. When Sowerby Bridge's Frank Hellen in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Silver Arrows FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 62nd minute Chris Deacon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Den Britton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danny Cambridge's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tommy Millman firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tommy Millman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Seagrave, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sowerby Bridge's Tommy Millman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Seagrave in the 74th minute of play. Den Britton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Hellen in the 82nd minute of the match. Frank Hellen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Den Britton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Deacon, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
