The Charlie Jones was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Jonathan Neville successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Andrew Stone put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Charlie Jones. After 29 played minutes Sheffield got a freekick which was hit by Ash Butterfield. A collision led to Barnes City getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Craig Mellon hit a great ball. In the 41st minute Andrew Stone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Jones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavin Carey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 48th minute, Reggie Blueman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Neville was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Andrew Stone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barnes City's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrew Stone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charlie Jones breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Barnes City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
