Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Craig Page took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute of the match Werrington got a corner. Fordham's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chesney Southgate ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Chesney Southgate got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Craig Milligan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After recieving a nice pass, Fordham's Nicholas Oakes tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Brett Bentley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brad Cryer having to interfere. Craig Page struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Brad Cryer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fordham. Brad Cryer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Craig Page, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Piers Nethercot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Werrington's supporters rose to their feet, but Piers Nethercot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Craig Milligan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Philip Granger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fordham's goalkeeper Craig Milligan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Philip Granger notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fordham's Craig Milligan. Craig Milligan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Piers Nethercot succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Craig Page kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Brett Bentley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Brad Cryer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Craig Milligan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Philip Granger's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Philip Granger to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Philip Granger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Craig Milligan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Craig Milligan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Granger, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Philip Granger received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Craig Milligan came out and tried to block the shot, but Philip Granger slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 59th minute. Craig Milligan made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Piers Nethercot sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Werrington booed when Fordham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jay Everard didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes Fordham got a freekick which was hit by Leo Walker. Piers Nethercot struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Craig Milligan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Werrington. Philip Granger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Craig Milligan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philip Granger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Werrington's Philip Granger got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Fordham's goalkeeper Craig Milligan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Piers Nethercot. Piers Nethercot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Craig Milligan made a huge save. Piers Nethercot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Craig Milligan having to make a save. In the 92nd minute, Piers Nethercot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 98th minute Fordham were awarded a corner. Nicholas Oakes went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Fordham's Nicholas Oakes to fire away a dangerous shot which Brad Cryer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
