Jonathon Ridsdale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shaun Shilton having to interfere. The supporters of Bulwell City booed when West asdickham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chaz Major didn't get a good kick on the ball. West asdickham FC's Bart Blowman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warren Golding in the 9th minute of play. Marek Elwick scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bart Blowman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bart Blowman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Al Messenger, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Carl Church blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shaun Shilton having to make a save. Jonathon Ridsdale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Shaun Shilton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Rowan Street had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bart Blowman. West asdickham FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rowan Street was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some careless play in the West asdickham FC defense, Marek Elwick kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bart Blowman. The West asdickham FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bart Blowman should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Marek Elwick notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of West asdickham FC's Bart Blowman. Bart Blowman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 30 minutes of play, West asdickham FC's Conal Dobby made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shaun Shilton was left in no man's land by his defense there! West asdickham FC's Bart Blowman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Al Messenger in the 33rd minute of play. Jonathon Ridsdale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Shaun Shilton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bart Blowman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Spears in the 36th minute of play. Bart Blowman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rowan Street, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Carl Church had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Shaun Shilton managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when West asdickham FC's Jonathon Ridsdale fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Al Messenger was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 55th minute. Bulwell City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Stewart Friend's late challenge caught a Bulwell City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stewart Friend helped the player get up and apologised. Jonathon Ridsdale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shaun Shilton having to interfere. Al Messenger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stewart Friend in the 72nd minute of play forced Bulwell City's goalkeeper Shaun Shilton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Marek Elwick notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of West asdickham FC's Bart Blowman. Bart Blowman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bart Blowman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Al Messenger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Anthony McGurk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shaun Shilton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bart Blowman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rowan Street showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-7 in the 91 minute of play. In the 95th minute, Al Messenger reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bart Blowman. The goal made the score 2-8. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bulwell City walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
