Stourport on Severn United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicholas Lodge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th match minute, Shaldon City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylon Tetley to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match Sidney Rice sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johnathon Corbett skillfully saved the ball. Marc Alcock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnathon Corbett having to interfere. If Nicholas Lodge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th match minute, Stourport on Severn United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russ Wilson to maneuver through the defense. Johnathon Corbett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicholas Lodge, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stan Webster got free with Curtis Wicks in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Shaldon City's Thomas Crossley slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Curtis Wicks. That made the score 1-0 after 31 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Alcock in the 38th minute of play forced Shaldon City's goalkeeper Johnathon Corbett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Curtis Wicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Crossley in the 42nd minute of the match. Stourport on Severn United's Curtis Wicks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Crossley in the 46th minute of play. Stourport on Severn United's Marc Alcock got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Crossley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Stourport on Severn United's zone, Thomas Crossley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Curtis Wicks came out of the goal and Thomas Crossley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thomas Crossley scored 2-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Curtis Wicks, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stan Webster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Curtis Wicks having to interfere. Nicholas Lodge was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Stourport on Severn United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 73rd match minute, Shaldon City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Gale to maneuver through the defense. Sidney Rice was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thomas Crossley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Curtis Wicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Crossley in the 92nd minute of the match. Shaldon City were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Stourport on Severn United for a fine match.
