Gösta Frisck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kasey Goacher having to make a save. In the 18th minute, Gösta Frisck fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Gösta Frisck hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After having played for 25 minutes, Jay Waite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castleford United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jay Waite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tod Boatman made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dom Davison in the 55th minute of play forced The Boys's goalkeeper Bruno Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to The Boys getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Craig Pearce hit a great ball. Kasey Goacher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Frisck in the 58th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tod Boatman in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Rodrigues saved The Boys from getting behind. Jay Waite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Bruno Rodrigues made a huge save. Castleford United's Zack Crocker couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for The Boys. Bruno Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dom Davison in the 72nd minute of play. Kasey Goacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Frisck, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76thth minute of the game Gösta Frisck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castleford United's Kasey Goacher was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ben Seagrave made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by The Boys's Ricky Whitford. The audience was convinced that Gösta Frisck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kasey Goacher was relentless in the 80th minute of the game.
