The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, AFC Bristol Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Sly Best came free, but David De Gea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, AFC Bristol Rovers's goalkeeper David De Gea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zane Bourne. After 21 played minutes Blackfen City got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Hume. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jake Straker in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tyler Banks saved Blackfen City from getting behind. Marty Woodford struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Tyler Banks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Bristol Rovers. 30 minutes into the match, AFC Bristol Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Hume came free, but David De Gea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marty Woodford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mick Rundell was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, AFC Bristol Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mick Rundell to maneuver through the defense. Blackfen City's Camron Woolcock pulled a muscle in his leg after 49 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jools Cavanagh's late challenge caught a Blackfen City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jools Cavanagh helped the player get up and apologised. After 49 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AFC Bristol Rovers!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zane Bourne to make the kick off. Zane Bourne struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. David De Gea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blackfen City. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zane Bourne in the 63rd minute of play forced AFC Bristol Rovers's goalkeeper David De Gea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Hume fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David De Gea having to interfere. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Blackfen City's goalkeeper Tyler Banks, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Wally Quantrill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When AFC Bristol Rovers's Jake Straker in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Blackfen City's goalie prevented a goal. Marty Woodford kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. AFC Bristol Rovers made a substitution. Benji Turner replaced Jake Straker. After 87 played minutes AFC Bristol Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Marty Woodford. Marty Woodford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Blackfen City's Tyler Banks got control of the ball when Benji Turner tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reg Fletcher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Tyler Banks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 100th match minute, AFC Bristol Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marty Woodford to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the AFC Bristol Rovers players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Blackfen City.
