Spectators: 6707 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Julian Hargreaves got the match started through his kick off. The nice shot from Ian Maylett in the 5thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Peter Kaye had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Peter Kaye made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ian Maylett in the 8th minute. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Julian Hargreaves took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Peter Kaye to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Truro City booed when Jarrow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristopher Brazier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Truro City's Julian Hargreaves dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. A collision led to Jarrow getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Kristopher Brazier hit a great ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Ian Maylett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Truro City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Maylett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Jarrow's goalkeeper Peter Kaye had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ian Maylett. 29 minutes into the match, Ian Maylett dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Peter Kaye, 3-0. Johnnie Baker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronnie Rowett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathanial Reading, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nathanial Reading had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nathanial Reading came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Jarrow fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nathanial Reading couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Truro City's Ronnie Rowett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathanial Reading in the 52nd minute of play. Nathanial Reading sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Kaye took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Hargreaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Truro City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Nathanial Reading scored to the left of an out of position Ronnie Rowett, making the score, 3-1. Peter Kaye showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Maylett in the 65th minute of the match. Nathanial Reading's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronnie Rowett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Nathanial Reading got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julian Hargreaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Truro City booed when Jarrow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donny Titmus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jarrow! The referee gave Truro City a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bradley Green, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jarrow's Peter Kaye. 4-1. Ian Maylett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Peter Kaye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Truro City's Julian Hargreaves got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, Ian Maylett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Peter Kaye was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Truro City had won after a very even match.
