Frimley Green's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Freddy Higson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 36th minute, Ben Acton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romford's Ivor Ratcliffe got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Des Fielden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Higson in the 47th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Tristan Clifford was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Frimley Green's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Romford the free kick. Tristan Clifford kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The Frimley Green players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Romford were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivor Ratcliffe was the one to do the kick off.
