Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Englefield Green's Tyrone Eadan in the 24th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Abraham Groves was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Winged Hussars through an amazing save. Marlon Pointon charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marlon Pointon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Winged Hussars got a freekick which was hit by Marlon Pointon. In the 26th minute of the match Jay Jewson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abraham Groves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Englefield Green's Austen Devaney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leroy Pack in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Tyrone Eadan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ritchie Kemp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gerry Louis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Abraham Groves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abraham Groves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ritchie Kemp in the 35th minute. Austen Devaney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leroy Pack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ritchie Kemp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abraham Groves having to make a save. In the 44th minute Darius Gray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Devaney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darius Gray in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Austen Devaney saved Englefield Green from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Darius Gray to strike the kick off in the second half. Ritchie Kemp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 minutes, Darius Gray made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Englefield Green's Austen Devaney tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute Tyrone Eadan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abraham Groves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute of the match Winged Hussars got a corner. Englefield Green's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gaz Silvester ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Englefield Green's goalie and right to Jermaine North. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Englefield Green's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darius Gray in the 66th minute of play forced Englefield Green's goalkeeper Austen Devaney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Englefield Green's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leroy Pack fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Darius Gray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leroy Pack might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Austen Devaney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leroy Pack ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darius Gray in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Austen Devaney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leroy Pack in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Austen Devaney, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 86th minute, Darius Gray fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the match was over Winged Hussars could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Englefield Green throughout the match.
