Damian Sills made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gav Shipton in the 29th minute of play. If Gav Shipton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Morgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Will Blake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Nailor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alastair Faith having to interfere. If Gav Shipton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Sills showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Fuller in the 45th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Will Blake ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alastair Faith was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Frank Morgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Damian Sills tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damian Sills made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gav Shipton in the 69th minute. When Frank Morgan came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Crawley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Morgan couldn't finish the play. After 73 played minutes, Crawley's Carlton Woolford shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damian Sills came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Crawley reached it. 79 minutes into the match, Barmby on the Marsh's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Morgan came free, but Damian Sills reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Morgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Damian Sills tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Barmby on the Marsh's zone, Gav Shipton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Sills came out of the goal and Gav Shipton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Leroy Joynes fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crawley's protests and gave Leroy Joynes a yellow card for diving instead. Alastair Faith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Blake, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute, Gav Shipton fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Damian Sills, passed just outside the right post. When the match had gone on for 99 minutes, Gav Shipton put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Damian Sills.
