With a couple of smart ball manuevers John Paul Styles in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alastair Faith saved Crawley from getting behind. Stuart Horsell took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alastair Faith. Alastair Faith dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Crawley's John Fuller got a free kick in the 12th minute. John Paul Styles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Morgan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jermaine Whitford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. If Frank Morgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Crawley booed when London Colney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Mayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Stuart Horsell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 62 minutes, Stuart Horsell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. London Colney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stuart Horsell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 64th play minutes Stuart Horsell shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Alastair Faith and just under the crossbar into goal. Crawley's Frank Morgan got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Stuart Horsell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The London Colney fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Frank Morgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Paul Styles in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alastair Faith prevented the ball from getting in the gole. London Colney's Jermaine Whitford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Fuller in the 93rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Crawley players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for London Colney.
