Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Moseley FC's Carlton Brewer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Luke Ellison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 6th match minute, Moseley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kris Ashford to maneuver through the defense. Carlton Brewer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris Warrender having to interfere. Moseley FC's Donny Dines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vern Paine in the 24th minute of play. If Vern Paine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Paull's goal looked a bit too open when Carlton Brewer came free, but Kris Warrender reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Luke Ellison put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kris Warrender. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grant Moxon in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donny Dines saved Moseley FC from getting behind. John Paul Portway hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gav Dimmock was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Vern Paine made a precise shot to the right of Donny Dines. Moseley FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Vern Paine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute Luke Ellison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kris Warrender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Vern Paine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Gav Dimmock's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donny Dines was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 65th minute, Paull's Gav Dimmock dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Reggie Leather didn't quite understand what happened when in the 70 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 80th match minute, Moseley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominic Garnett to maneuver through the defense. Gav Dimmock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Donny Dines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Moseley FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gav Dimmock fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 87th match minute, Moseley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reggie Leather to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Moseley FC's zone, Gav Dimmock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donny Dines came out of the goal and Gav Dimmock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vern Paine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donny Dines having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gav Dimmock in the 97th minute of play forced Moseley FC's goalkeeper Donny Dines to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Paull players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
