Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Neil Amos made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Leek booed when Neen Sollars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Addison didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Neil Amos came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Leek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neil Amos couldn't finish the play. Len Wiseman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neil Amos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Max Palmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Neil Amos in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Len Wiseman saved Neen Sollars FC from getting behind. Max Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Len Wiseman having to interfere. Leek's Max Palmer got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Neil Amos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Len Wiseman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Max Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Len Wiseman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leek's Lloyd Crichton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Leek from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Joey Simms managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neen Sollars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joey Simms was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lloyd Crichton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Leek's goal looked a bit too open when Iain Daly came free, but Lloyd Crichton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leek's Lloyd Crichton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iain Daly in the 35th minute of play. After 38 played minutes Leek got a freekick which was hit by Russ Greenwood. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iain Daly stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joey Simms in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lloyd Crichton saved Leek from getting behind. In the 59thth minute of the game Iain Daly who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leek's Lloyd Crichton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iain Abbott during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iain Abbott kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Joey Simms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lloyd Crichton having to interfere. Neil Amos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Len Wiseman having to interfere. Len Wiseman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Amos in the 65th minute of play. Neen Sollars FC's Len Wiseman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Neen Sollars FC from getting a goal against them. Len Wiseman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Max Palmer in the 74th minute. Philip Addison hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute Joey Simms shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lloyd Crichton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Neil Amos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Len Wiseman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joey Simms might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lloyd Crichton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joey Simms ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute, Iain Daly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Leek defense, Iain Daly kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lloyd Crichton. The Leek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lloyd Crichton should have stopped the shot. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
