Verne Shakespeare in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jerome Lewington, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jerome Tanner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Jerome Lewington when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jerome Lewington made an important save on a dangerous shot by Verne Shakespeare in the 7th minute. In the 9th match minute, Thirsk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stan Hawke to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stan Hawke during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Thirsk FC! The referee gave Fc. Piky1one a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Leo Boxall, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Thirsk FC's Jerome Lewington. 1-0. After some careless play in the Fc. Piky1one defense, Dale Mannell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gordon Webster. The Fc. Piky1one fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gordon Webster should have stopped the shot. Leo Boxall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Verne Shakespeare scored 2-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jerome Lewington, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Boxall in the 33rd minute of play forced Thirsk FC's goalkeeper Jerome Lewington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gavin Groom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerome Lewington read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Jerome Lewington didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fc. Piky1one's Leo Boxall shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 40th minute, Leo Boxall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Verne Shakespeare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Lewington having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Aaron Hartley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jerome Lewington didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Verne Shakespeare went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Hunter was the one to do the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Jake Wedlock put in a rough tackle. In the 55th minute, one of Fc. Piky1one:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fc. Piky1one. Gordon Webster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Hartley in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Verne Shakespeare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Lewington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Victor Hunter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gordon Webster was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Dale Mannell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Gordon Webster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Verne Shakespeare ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerome Lewington was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Jerome Lewington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verne Shakespeare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thirsk FC's Jerome Lewington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Ingham in the 76th minute of play. Geoff Byfield kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Calum Jackson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavin Groom struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Jerome Lewington didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc. Piky1one. Verne Shakespeare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Lewington having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Verne Shakespeare put it in 6-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jerome Lewington. Gavin Groom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Thirsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gavin Groom came free, but Jerome Lewington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Thirsk FC's Stan Hawke got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 7-2 when Gavin Groom sped through Thirsk FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jerome Lewington. Fc. Piky1one's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
