Spectators: 7451 (Terracing: 5590, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Drew Hardcastle got the match started through his kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Drew Hardcastle got free with Denzil Platt in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddy Welsh during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lincoln booed when Harchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddy Welsh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrick Bateson made a great header on Lincoln's corner, it was just that Harchester United's Jay Devaney managed to reach the ball for a save. 8 minutes into the match, Frankie Beasley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jay Devaney. Harchester United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frankie Beasley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 11 played minutes Harchester United got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Dale. Patrick Bateson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jay Devaney. Harchester United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 14th minute, Josh Charles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Frankie Beasley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Devaney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes, Josh Charles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harchester United and the Lincoln players grew even worse after the yellow card. Josh Charles hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Frankie Beasley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jay Devaney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frankie Beasley in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jay Devaney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Damion Barnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denzil Platt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Drew Hardcastle in the 25th minute of play. Harchester United's Drew Hardcastle got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frankie Beasley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jay Devaney having to interfere. Harchester United's Jay Devaney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frankie Beasley in the 34th minute of play. If Frankie Beasley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jay Devaney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frankie Beasley in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Frankie Beasley made a precise shot to the right of Jay Devaney. Harchester United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The Harchester United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lincoln were winning 0-2.

Damion Barnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Harchester United's protests and gave Johnathon Hold a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Harchester United getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Johnathon Hold hit a great ball. Damion Barnes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frankie Beasley in the 85th minute of play forced Harchester United's goalkeeper Jay Devaney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lincoln's Damion Barnes got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Damion Barnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
