Street FCs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chaz Watts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Street FCs's goalkeeper Steve Butterfield had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Best. In the 41st minute, Abraham Best made a precise shot to the right of Steve Butterfield. Street FCs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Mattias Watkins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Barnett, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Mattias Watkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Downes in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johnathon Salmon to make the kick off. When Johnathon Salmon came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Street FCs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnathon Salmon couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Bacup FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ivor Breeden hit a great ball. The supporters of Bacup FC booed when Street FCs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnathon Salmon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 57 played minutes Bacup FC got a freekick which was hit by Deon Carragher. After a defensive mix-up in Bacup FC's zone, John Downes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Watkins came out of the goal and John Downes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Ivor Breeden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Bacup FC booed when Street FCs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chaz Watts didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute of the match Lucas Griffin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steve Butterfield skillfully saved the ball. After 75 played minutes, Street FCs's Curtis Eldridge shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mattias Watkins came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Street FCs reached it.
