Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bacup FC's Alastair Cooke started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnnie Sherman in the 8th minute of play forced Bacup FC's goalkeeper Mattias Watkins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Bacup FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Brian Nancy hit a great ball. Johnnie Sherman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mattias Watkins made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Gerry Sunderland sent off a good shot on target. DRIP FC's Julian Jenkinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Best in the 16th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Bacup FC got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Best. In the 22nd minute, Gerry Sunderland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 23 minutes, Denny Dimmock mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bacup FC and the DRIP FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Denny Dimmock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 played minutes Bacup FC got a freekick which was hit by Alastair Cooke. After 29 minutes, Alexander Barrett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DRIP FC and the Bacup FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, DRIP FC's Alexander Barrett got a free kick in the 29th minute. Alastair Cooke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Jenkinson having to interfere. Alastair Cooke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rory Higgins kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Abraham Best sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johnnie Sherman might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mattias Watkins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johnnie Sherman ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th minute, Gerry Sunderland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in DRIP FC's zone, Brian Nancy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Jenkinson came out of the goal and Brian Nancy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johnnie Sherman to strike the kick off in the second half. Alastair Cooke was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Abraham Best blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julian Jenkinson having to make a save. The supporters of Bacup FC booed when DRIP FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donny Perkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Bacup FC's Abraham Best nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julian Jenkinson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Johnnie Sherman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Watkins having to interfere. Abraham Best received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Julian Jenkinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Abraham Best got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alastair Cooke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Julian Jenkinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Brian Nancy fired a really elegant long shot, but Julian Jenkinson threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 74th minute, Donny Perkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, DRIP FC's goalkeeper Julian Jenkinson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Best. DRIP FC's Julian Jenkinson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save DRIP FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to DRIP FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Donny Perkins hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Alastair Cooke took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Julian Jenkinson to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded Bacup FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than DRIP FC.
