Iain Almond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Liam Lennon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After 36 played minutes South Ockendon United got a freekick which was hit by Andy Atherton. KingsBridge were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after South Ockendon United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Brandon Coulson took the corner. South Ockendon United's Liam Lennon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save South Ockendon United from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the match, KingsBridge's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Speed came free, but Dennis Fisher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liam Lennon didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when KingsBridge's Iain Almond shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
