Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nick Hollingsworth took the kick off in the first half of the match. Donny Kerr made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charles Richardson in the 2nd minute. Codicote's Brad Sawyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerome Clegg in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Les Hylton during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jerome Clegg scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brad Sawyer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruben Higgins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jerome Clegg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brad Sawyer was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. After having played for 22 minutes, Jerome Clegg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Chimistu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerome Clegg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brad Sawyer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cody Theakston's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Jerome Clegg managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Chimistu's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerome Clegg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brad Sawyer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30thth minute of the game Nick Hollingsworth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Codicote's Brad Sawyer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brad Sawyer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerome Clegg's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute, Ruben Higgins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 37 minutes, Cody Theakston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Chimistu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cody Theakston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cody Theakston took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brad Sawyer. Brad Sawyer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Nick Hollingsworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ruben Higgins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rupert Boyd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Codicote's goalkeeper Brad Sawyer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerome Clegg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nick Hollingsworth in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brad Sawyer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brad Sawyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerome Clegg in the 56th minute of play. Rupert Boyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donny Kerr having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, Codicote was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Richardson to maneuver through the defense. Brad Sawyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Hollingsworth in the 67th minute of the match. When FC Chimistu's Nick Hollingsworth in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Codicote's goalie prevented a goal. Nick Hollingsworth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cody Theakston got free with Brad Sawyer in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Nick Hollingsworth reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brad Sawyer. The goal made the score 0-3. Jerome Clegg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th play minute Robin Waterhouse came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Brad Sawyer. 0-4. Brad Sawyer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerome Clegg in the 84th minute. Ruben Higgins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Brad Sawyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerome Clegg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Chimistu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
