Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vance Pearch took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Ben Watson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Lister was a little too slow when Ray Saunders got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. Eric Clough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luke Beaumont, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Hurworth's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Beaumont came free, but Eric Clough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eric Clough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke Beaumont, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ray Saunders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Kev Colton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Don McGovern took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fred Lister. London CF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vance Pearch in the 31st minute of play forced London CF's goalkeeper Fred Lister to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd match minute, London CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liam Dawes to maneuver through the defense. Fred Lister made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ray Saunders in the 34th minute. London CF's Fred Lister proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save London CF from getting a goal against them. Ray Saunders could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Fred Lister made a huge save. Fred Lister made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Ray Saunders sent off a good shot on target. Vance Pearch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Key made a kick off. In the 52nd play minute Luke Beaumont came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eric Clough. 2-1. Hurworth's Eric Clough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Key in the 56th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Stefan Harrison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in London CF's zone, Ray Saunders stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Lister came out of the goal and Ray Saunders tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fred Lister showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vance Pearch, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Hurworth's Vance Pearch in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye London CF's goalie prevented a goal. Vance Pearch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Vance Pearch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Key sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fred Lister came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Hurworth's Ray Saunders. But to his dismay, Ray Saunders quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Ray Saunders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hurworth had played much better football throughout.
