Spectators: 6707 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sid Thorn took the kick off in the first half of the match. Sid Thorn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reg Bentham having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Footgolfers's zone, William Cheeseman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John-Paul Mumford came out of the goal and William Cheeseman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when William Cheeseman got free with John-Paul Mumford in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Syd Crossley kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Martin Impey rounded Footgolfers's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. If Martin Impey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 26 minutes into the match, Footgolfers's goalkeeper John-Paul Mumford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by William Cheeseman. John-Paul Mumford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Impey in the 28th minute of the match. When Lee Craddock fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Footgolfers's protests and gave Lee Craddock a yellow card for diving instead. The long shot by Zane Roebuck in the 30th minute really tested John-Paul Mumford's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 38 minutes into the match, Footgolfers's goalkeeper John-Paul Mumford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by William Cheeseman. William Cheeseman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. John-Paul Mumford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute Martin Impey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John-Paul Mumford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Martin Impey made the kick off in the second half. If Thomas Martin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 minutes of play, Lymington United's Martin Impey made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. John-Paul Mumford was left in no man's land by his defense there! 63 minutes into the match, Footgolfers's Thomas Martin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reg Bentham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Footgolfers's John-Paul Mumford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Impey in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Impey in the 71st minute of play forced Footgolfers's goalkeeper John-Paul Mumford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Martin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reg Bentham having to interfere. If Thomas Martin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Lymington United's goalkeeper Reg Bentham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Martin. Syd Crossley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Footgolfers's Zackary Reddington got a free kick in the 83rd minute. John-Paul Mumford stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Impey's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. When Thomas Martin came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Footgolfers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Martin couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute Martin Impey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John-Paul Mumford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Martin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reg Bentham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. If Sid Thorn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lymington United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Footgolfers for a fine match.
