Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gav Ashton started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, FC crocodile clips was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reggie Granville to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute, Doug Edison sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC crocodile clips's Nathanial McRobbie didn't even have to move. After 10th play minutes Simon Nelthorpe shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Nathanial McRobbie and just under the crossbar into goal. Gav Ashton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shane Boyle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Max Golding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. East London 2.0's Simon Nelthorpe got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dave Auty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathanial McRobbie having to interfere. Shane Boyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gav Ashton, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 34 minutes into the game, FC crocodile clips's Gav Ashton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shane Boyle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Golding in the 44th minute of play forced East London 2.0's goalkeeper Shane Boyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dave Auty was the one to do the kick off. Simon Nelthorpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 56 minutes, Simon Nelthorpe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East London 2.0's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Nelthorpe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Dave Auty came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the East London 2.0 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Auty couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute, Simon Nelthorpe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simon Nelthorpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shane Boyle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Max Golding in the 71st minute. Dave Auty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC crocodile clips's Nathanial McRobbie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Nelthorpe in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Dave Auty managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East London 2.0's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Auty was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
