Spectators: 7377 (Terracing: 5570, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 100) Kyle Blakeley started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Blakeley came free, but Conan Jennings reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Brandon Bray had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivor Blake. Boscastle City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brandon Bray was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Boscastle City's zone, Gary Christensen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivor Blake came out of the goal and Gary Christensen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivor Blake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gary Christensen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Gary Christensen. 19 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Sparks came free, but Conan Jennings reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conan Jennings came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Boscastle City's Kyle Blakeley. But to his dismay, Kyle Blakeley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Boscastle City's goalkeeper Ivor Blake, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Manchester United defense, Kyle Blakeley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conan Jennings. The Manchester United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conan Jennings should have stopped the shot. In the 30th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Howard to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Kevin Sparks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conan Jennings saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Kevin Sparks left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boscastle City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Sparks in the 43rd minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Conan Jennings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Howard to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the game, Boscastle City's George Barber nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conan Jennings made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

58 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goalkeeper Conan Jennings had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kevin Sparks. When Steve Howard fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester United's protests and gave Steve Howard a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Boscastle City booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Howard didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Kevin Sparks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boscastle City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Sparks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Conan Jennings made an important save on a dangerous shot by George Barber in the 66th minute. Conan Jennings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Blakeley in the 67th minute of play. Jeremy Sheppard's late challenge caught a Boscastle City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremy Sheppard helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jeremy Sheppard hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Boscastle City's Kyle Blakeley dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. In the 74th match minute, Boscastle City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Barber to maneuver through the defense. Kyle Blakeley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Conan Jennings tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Blakeley came free, but Conan Jennings reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conan Jennings showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Blakeley in the 85th minute of the match. Boscastle City played a much better game than Manchester United and deserved their victory. The Manchester United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
