Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Graham Cullen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Mattias Bayliff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Blakeley in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Sparks in the 4th minute of play forced Greenock F.C's goalkeeper Mattias Bayliff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Boscastle City's goalkeeper Ivor Blake had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Byron Bassett. Byron Bassett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute Kyle Blakeley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Bayliff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Byron Bassett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ivor Blake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Will Sutherland hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Kevin Sparks left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boscastle City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Byron Bassett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivor Blake read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Byron Bassett fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Graham Cullen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Byron Bassett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Ivor Blake made a huge save. 40 minutes into the match, Boscastle City's goal looked a bit too open when Graham Cullen came free, but Ivor Blake reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Byron Bassett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greenock F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Byron Bassett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boscastle City's Ivor Blake proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Boscastle City from getting a goal against them. After the first half Boscastle City were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kyle Blakeley made a kick off. Ivor Blake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graham Cullen, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Graham Cullen in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivor Blake saved Boscastle City from getting behind. Byron Bassett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ivor Blake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mattias Bayliff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Sparks in the 75th minute. The audience was convinced that Graham Cullen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivor Blake was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Byron Bassett struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ivor Blake didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Greenock F.C. Graham Cullen might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivor Blake. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Graham Cullen ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute, Byron Bassett left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Greenock F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Ivor Blake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Kendall in the 94th minute of the match. Mattias Bayliff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Blakeley, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Greenock F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
