Spectators: 6713 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sol West started the match with the kick off. Ivor West sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the game, Sonny Masters was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wimbledon City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LIVERPOOL the free kick. Sol West who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Terry Leather when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sol West in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Terry Leather prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as LIVERPOOL's Ivor West slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Terry Leather. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. 24 minutes into the game, Wimbledon City's Victor Hammond nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ty Wicks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Sol West recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. LIVERPOOL's attentive Stewart Butterworth managed to snatch the ball when Donald Maylett made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 35th match minute, LIVERPOOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominik Foley to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Tom Ross ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ty Wicks was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. A collision led to LIVERPOOL getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ivor West hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Masters in the 45th minute of play forced LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Ty Wicks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Hammond made a kick off. Jools Seaward blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Terry Leather having to make a save. In the 55th minute, LIVERPOOL's Ivor West seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ivor West the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of LIVERPOOL protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ivor West had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of LIVERPOOL:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Wimbledon City:s goal. Ty Wicks had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Terry Shepherd's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ty Wicks was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Terry Shepherd. When LIVERPOOL's Sol West in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wimbledon City's goalie prevented a goal. Sidney Beswetherick could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Ty Wicks made a huge save. 66 minutes into the match, Wimbledon City's goal looked a bit too open when Jools Seaward came free, but Terry Leather reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ty Wicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sonny Masters in the 67th minute of the match. When LIVERPOOL's Sol West in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wimbledon City's goalie prevented a goal. 74 minutes into the match, LIVERPOOL's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Hammond came free, but Ty Wicks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Ty Wicks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tom Ross. Ty Wicks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Hammond, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Terry Leather took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sol West, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute Sol West shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terry Leather saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dean Stonebridge kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Ty Wicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Hammond in the 92nd minute of the match. Ty Wicks was a little too slow when Sonny Masters got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 1-4. In the 99th minute Victor Hammond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ty Wicks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Wimbledon City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
