Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joe Ruddock got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Bromborough AFC's Ash Needham got a free kick in the 5th minute. Glenn Brent hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Caistor's Stephen Nightingale got a free kick in the 10th minute. Lance Porter made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ash Needham sent off a good shot on target. Caistor's Lance Porter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Caistor from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute Allan Moorhouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Porter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glenn Brent recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Caistor's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Moorhouse came free, but Lance Porter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stephen Nightingale in the 30th minute of play forced Bromborough AFC's goalkeeper Sammy Webster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Caistor's goalkeeper Lance Porter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ash Needham. 33 minutes into the game, Bromborough AFC's Ash Needham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lance Porter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Bromborough AFC's Allan Moorhouse got a free kick in the 36th minute. Lance Porter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ash Needham in the 39th minute. After having played for 40 minutes, Allan Moorhouse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bromborough AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Moorhouse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd match minute, Caistor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Atkins to maneuver through the defense. Lance Porter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Moorhouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Allan Moorhouse made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ash Needham in the 51st minute of play forced Caistor's goalkeeper Lance Porter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Caistor:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bromborough AFC:s goal. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Bromborough AFC. Ash Needham stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lance Porter. 2-0. After 63 minutes, John-Paul Maston mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bromborough AFC and the Caistor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd minute, John-Paul Maston hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes of play, Bromborough AFC's Allan Moorhouse made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lance Porter was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ash Needham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Porter having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Joe Ruddock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Webster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Allan Moorhouse made a precise shot to the right of Lance Porter. Caistor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joe Ruddock in the 80th minute of play forced Bromborough AFC's goalkeeper Sammy Webster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Moorhouse in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lance Porter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ash Needham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bromborough AFC! When the match had been going on for 98 minutes, Caistor's Liam Rain got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sammy Webster. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bromborough AFC had played much better football throughout.
