Henry Roy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 8 minutes, Henry Roy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jamaica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Roy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the game, Rainham City's Shane Cunningham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Trunks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Giles Hook threw the ball into play from the sideline. Jamaica's Oliver Gildea quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 17th minute Shane Cunningham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Trunks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shane Cunningham took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Trunks. Martin Trunks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Billy Adcock hit a great ball. With a little luck, Rainham City's Nathan Perryman got control of the ball when Donald Newby tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Shane Cunningham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rainham City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 35th match minute, Jamaica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darius Cohens to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Donald Newby had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nathan Perryman. Rainham City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donald Newby was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 42nd minute, Shane Cunningham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Trunks was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Henry Roy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henry Roy to strike the kick off in the second half. Ashley Hindmarsh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Perryman having to interfere. Nathan Perryman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Roy in the 55th minute of play. Martin Trunks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shane Cunningham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nathan Perryman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Roy in the 61st minute of the match. It was a well-played corner which Henry Roy managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 67th minute Shane Cunningham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Trunks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nathan Perryman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Newby in the 68th minute of the match. Nathan Perryman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Roy's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, Rainham City's Dave McGrath got a free kick in the 74th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Roy in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nathan Perryman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Darius Cohens hit a great ball. Giles Hook made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Thomas Norfolk. 95 minutes into the game, Shane Cunningham recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin Trunks. Shane Cunningham showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. Rainham City were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Jamaica's much stronger midfield.
