Spectators: 6710 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Martin Cryan started the match with the kick off. If Calvin Izzard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calvin Izzard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Leeson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Martin Cryan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bloomsbury FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Cryan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Weatherhead breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, Tom Kingston got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bloomsbury FC's Dennis Leeson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvin Izzard in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tommy Delamore in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dennis Leeson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute, Tommy Delamore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Calvin Izzard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Dennis Leeson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Dom Norman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jarrow AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bloomsbury FC the free kick. After 46 played minutes Jarrow AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dom Norman. After a rather tough play, Bloomsbury FC's Reg Patton got a free kick in the 48th minute. Jarrow AFC were awarded a corner in the 51th minute after Bloomsbury FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eric Slatter took the corner. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to Jarrow AFC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Dom Norman hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bloomsbury FC's zone, Calvin Izzard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Leeson came out of the goal and Calvin Izzard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute, Alistair Lagdon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute of the match, Calvin Izzard got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dennis Leeson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 61 played minutes Bloomsbury FC got a freekick which was hit by Alistair Lagdon. Tommy Delamore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Dennis Leeson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 65 minutes, Calvin Izzard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarrow AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calvin Izzard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Bloomsbury FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Calvin Izzard fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Tommy Delamore struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Dennis Leeson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jarrow AFC. After a rather tough play, Bloomsbury FC's Alistair Lagdon got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Tommy Delamore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Delamore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Cryan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Weatherhead having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
