In the 15th minute, Glenn Little hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Calvin Izzard came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Jarrow AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calvin Izzard couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Chesney Talbot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 20 minutes, Jake Dobby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pogon Mogilno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jake Dobby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zane Nancy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Delamore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Robin Weatherhead managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Pogon Mogilno's Chesney Talbot fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tommy Delamore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Zane Nancy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jake Dobby was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Calvin Izzard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matty Burns charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Robin Weatherhead was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chesney Talbot took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robin Weatherhead. Robin Weatherhead dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tommy Delamore to make the kick off. Pogon Mogilno's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
